Born in a hard winter in the year 1959, Rael learned to love classical music from his father, who used to be a violinist until an accident, which rendered him unable to play. Rael studied classical guitar as well as electric guitar and composing at the music academy of the city of Darmstadt. He wrote Stage music for theater, filmsoundtracks and popsongs and experiments with electronic music.
